In case you don't know because you don't live near a breakwall, it's a bigass stone wall made to keep large waves away from areas people like to do ocean-related leisure activity in, usually located near a lighthouse. I have walked on them before despite it being mildly dangerous, got very wet. It is usually covered in dead or dying fish and has a distinct smell, a mixture of salt and dead fish that tends to stick in to your sinuses so you're still smelling it several hours later when you're dried off and somewhere else. Cat food isn't the same as real fish guts straight from the sea, it's sterilized crap from a can, nowhere near the same scent.
