Pros:
>Great gameplay, catching and battling pokemon in the wild areas is seamless and effortless, you just have to throw your PokeBall, best catching mechanics in the franchise besides Pokemon Go
>Despite not being entirely open world, each wild area feels big and has a nice sense of exploration thanks to different biomes and pokemon to fight and catch
>They fucking made filling the Pokedex fun (filling as catching every pokemon, completing every task goes on Cons)
>New combat mechanics like combat styles shake up the gameplay in better, more organic ways than Dynamax and Z Moves faggotry and makes it feel kinda fresh
>Not entirely braindead that you can win every battle just by mashing A or the Dynamax/Z Move/Mega evolution button like in previous games, if you lower your guard something as dumb as a bunch of Psyducks can really fuck you up
>Extremely needed quality of life improvements like Move Tutor and Name Rater features being available all the time on the menu and manual evolutions
>Noble Pokémon fights are fun and a great addition
>Good framerate despite being a semi open world
Cons:
>Terrible graphics overall even for the Switch
>Barely any Anti Aliasing
>Blurry shadows, low draw distances, weird lightning engine makes some characters like Irida look like shit
>Mediocre customization
>Boring story with bad pacing and some uninteresting characters like that dumb granny with a leaf on her head
>Some character designs don't fit the setting like Volo, Irida and Arezu, they look too modern
>Downgraded online features (not like I care since my switch is hacked but it's worth noting)
>Meh soundtrack, some songs sound too much like BOTW
>Some really shitty new pokemon designs/forms
Overall it's better than the rest of the Pokemon games on the Switch and I'd love to see an improved Legends Kyurem or something like that in the future, I'm having fun with a fucking modern Pokemon game of all things and that is a nice accomplishment
