And yet, in her dialogue she says she "dislikes fighting". You could say that her psychic powers distanced her from other people and that's why she appears cold, but that's just conjecture.
She seems much the same in GSC, with very similar lines before battle, but she does add a little bit more with the post-battle lines, telling the player of their future and commenting on the nature of love as a potential form of psychic power. In HGSS it seems like she's become more of a 'normal' person, ditching the weird skintight outfit for more 'hip' clothing. Then she shows up as an actress in B2W2, which is a pretty weird case for fanservice, I think, but does expand her character in a fun way.
And then suddenly in almost every other form of Pokemon media she's an evil bitch.
