>>50756389>your little cousin is a representation of every child ever and individual personalities aren't a thing lolololKid probably just wants something more interactive and hands-on like Fortnite. Other kids are going to feel more comfortable playing Animal Crossing or Roblox. Some kids exclusively play mobile games. And sometimes, kids like things like Pokemon. I wasn't exactly eating up Mario or Halo like my classmates were when I was in school, but I was loving shit like Zelda and Yume Nikki.
>>50756477Yes and no. They obviously get better with things like QOL (breeding is so much better in SWSH) and game mechanics (the bike making surfing a smoother experience), and the feedback they receive from fans helps them focus on what some people really want (better story, more interesting humans, etc) but the phrase "one step forward two steps backwards" still applies with taking away features and adding new ones just to see what sticks. Pokemon Amie was fantastic but now we can't pet our Pokemon in SWSH, just play fetch and talk to them like the player character doesn't know how to use their hands to give them a pat on the head. That's just one example but to say the games are actively getting worse is mostly just bitter nostalgiafag talk.
