Digimon being all over the place is also good, it gives it its own identity even if that is sort of as the "Edgy" one (even if there are ones that go too far, i.e. 90% of x-antibody digimon).
This stupid pokemon vs digimon shit is retarded, Pokemon are like cute little pets you want to pet and talk to and feed whereas digimon are your friends and partners who grow alongside you. The two fill very different roles
