I currently have some ideas for the plot of a
shitty fangame i'm working in:
>character is not a kid, instead a semi-sucessful worker>You earned enough money to drop from your job and chase after your childhood dream, to be a trainer>That means "infinite" money, every day you can withdraw x money from ATMs, until it jams (limit will be small like 3000)>No stupid NPCs blocking routes, warning signs will tell about recommended levels, cross at your own risk>2Deep4U backstory, completely optional, based on depictions/books in certain locations>no order on gym leaders, every leader's team is dependant on the amount of badges you have (maybe set temporary your party's level to be on par with the leader, thus removing both grind and overlevelling)>more depth on how to catch pokemon, no longer about "run on tall grass" except by critter-like pokemon>event-like encounters, dungeon-crawling into pokemon nests, and maybe baitsThoughts
