Hey, rhg. I'm not really a very good ROMhacker, but I was thinking I'd tackle my first ROMhack project. It's gonna be called "Pokemon Emerald: Mystery of the Jackalope."
It's not gonna be a very big project. It certainly won't be as in-depth as most projects here. Basically, it's just Pokemon Emerald, but with heightened difficulty and a new breed of Pokemon: the Jackalope.
The Jackalope will be a rare encounter on a few routes including the first. Its gimmick is that it has a ton of evolutions, all with different methods. The evolutions are also gonna be new, although they will of course bear some resemblance to mister Jackalope.
I'm posting here because I'd like some suggestions and ideas, and maybe a little help (but only if you're willing, of course). Keep in mind that this is a very early version, as if you couldn't tell by the Jackalope being a shitty-looking fusion of Nidoran and Stantler.
So what do you think?
