How did Oak run out of starter Pokemon to give when it was clearly expected for Ash to get one of the starter Pokemon and his license, a pokedex. He even had a crowd waiting for him to get a pokemon. There was even a video, by oak, about the types of pokemon you can receive from him. Yet, he was only able to give ash a pikachu? Not only that but he made ash open up every pokeball for them to be empty. How are those pokeballs even still there? Weren’t they supposed to go to the trainers? Gary clearly has a pokeball, yet Oak does too for the starter pokemon? Why? Why is Oak not prepared for the trainers that were clearly planned to come. He had an entire pokedex made and programmed to be Ash’s license, yet didn’t even make sure Ash would get one of the starter Pokemon that he talked about on the tape. Makes no fucking sense.
