But it makes sense, GF wants to capitalize over new fans, kids where this will be their first Pokémon game, and they took Turner to do the job of recreating the feel of Pokémon to a 2019 vibe. For a long-term profit viewpoint, they are not wrong in doing so.
Well, the good thing is that I won't have to pay to play this game at least. SwSh will probably be fun, but its impossible to play these games with the same passion we all played the previous Gens. Pokémon is died for me - and that's OK because I'm just not their target audience anymore. Good thing there are still a lot of older games for me to play play, like Collosseum, Explorers in the Sky, and it's always nice to replay older games using different Pokémon.
