PMD's world gives it a lot of potential to have a great plot, but they just squander around with shitty cardboard cutouts of characters and recycled/horrible twist endings every single time. Super's the absolute worst when it comes to all of this, whereas Sky plays it safe by using more generic concepts.
The emotional parts of the game definitely feel impactful, though that's simply because the soundtrack is so good.
