I always thought one of the greatest criticisms of pokemon was the amount of HMs that was required to traverse the world, often times requiring one or two HM slaves on your team in order to be able to go anywhere you wanted to, or more often sacrificing moves from each of your team members for them.
Most of the HMs aren't even good to use save for surf and fly.
So why in the hell do people still use them for rom hacks? Hopefully with the massive popularity of Radical Red people will start implementing this into more hacks, but christ it feels like most people want to suffer for no reason
