>>53576674Yep, it's something you're just expected to do. Parents, friends... the pressure is real when in high school to go to college afterward. Colleges are more than eager to contribute to this pressure by painting a rosy picture of the happy, successful future that's just waiting for you if you spend 4+ plus years in the system that will bleed you dry. The education system fails kids early on and keeps failing kids all the way through college, and then the minimum wage job market leaves young adults without enough money to survive without living with others/parents. It's all so broken bro, and nobody with power wants to fix it; not the politicians, and certainly not the colleges or corporations, all of which get rich off of other peoples' struggles and uncertainties.
