This will probably come off as random as fuck (Since HGSS came out 8 years ago), but I'm curious if anyone has actually managed to mod and create custom Pokewalker routes. I dug out my original and thought to check it out, and there were a few forum posts asking about custom cases and shit, but nothing about actual routes with pokemon and items coming preset with a step-limit. I've found out that HGSS stores a large amount of the data (Sprites, items, 'mon, routes, etc) and the device merely stores the pedometer function, date, controls, menu, minigames, and link function).
Here are my questions:
Has this been actively done at some point?
Is it any more difficult than doing a HGSS hack, and can this be applied to other games/applications given enough time and reverse-engineering?
Is it possible to store more than the base 6 Pokemon as possible encounters, or is that data stored in the Walker itself?
Link to a website/vid if there is one that I couldn't find?
Thanks for reading this mess of a request, /vp/, and especially thanks if you know anything. And yeah, I know about /heg/, I just felt that it involved the Pokewalker more than games so I'd make a separate thread.
