Fairies manhandle it thanks to Fighting/Dark resistance yes, but other than that it's not something that's easily taken down by most mons. Easily checked after some prior damage, but at full health it won't be taken down so easily.
Sableye is another one I absolutely loathe not just because of its playstyle but because of personal dislike of it. Offensively, anything that cannot 2HKO it cannot hope to beat it once poisoned/burned since it can just spam priority Recover until you die. Burn means most physical attackers can't do that after the being burned and Sableyes tend to be Calm with 252SpD and 252HP so less powerful Special Attackers aren't getting past that either. You can try to status it, but priority Taunt shuts down obvious utility/support Pokemon from using Toxic. Again, Fairies shut it down easily but most of the time I don't have room for a Fairy in my team so I've just been running something like Gliscor to deal with it.
