The vast majority of Unova’s pokemon are surprisingly good and used, especially as time has gone on. The ones that ARE good (not necessarily top-tier or meta defining, but just good) are
Serperior, Stoutland, Liepard, Gigalith, Excadrill, Conkeldurr, Seismatoad, Scolipede, Whimsicott, Liligant, Krookodile, Darmanitan, Scrafty, Sigilyph, Cofagrigous, Archeops (kind of), Zoroark, Cinccino, Gothitelle, Reuiniclus, Vanilluxe, Escavalier, Accelgor, Amoongus, Jellicent, Alomomola (surprisingly, it’s a fantastic wish passer), Galvantula, Ferrothorn, Chandelure, Haxorus, Mienshao, Druddigon, Bisharp, Braviary, Mandibuzz, Durant, Hydreigon, Volcarona, and the majority of the legendaries. Depending on how you view the legendaries this puts the total of “good” pokemon in Gen 5 to around 40-45. And that’s also not including some of them who are situational but good in their own right, such as Beartic. Of those 40-45 pokemon, the majority of them ARE ridiculously good, and the rest are fantastic but don’t overshadow the competition.
