>>53474484>Is it harder than pmd?1 and 2, sure. The series doesn't have reviver seeds and among the game's mechanics there's one where consumables are unidentified when you enter a dungeon, so you have to learn what they are by using an identifier or trying them out or throwing them at enemies. CD 2 has a consumable that allows you to save the game on stairs, which eases difficulty a bit.
As for the Wii game (Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon), it is easier than the PS1 games but I think I'd still consider it harder than PMD. But it uses a class system I guess the difficulty would vary according to what classes you like playing.
I haven't played the re-releases of the Wii game (there was one for the DS and Everybuddy for Switch), so I can't comment on them.
>>53474551>So it should be fine to play despite not playing any ff titles? The stories have nothing to do with FF aside from sharing monsters and spell names, so it will be fine.
However, the Wii game and it's re-releases uses a LOT of remixed music from the FF series, so these musical references will be lost if you haven't played the FF games. Chocobo's Dungeon 2 has one or two of those, but the Wii one ramps it up to the extreme as a whooping 27 tracks out of the OST's 31 tracks are remixed music from FF I to XI. That's a minor thing though.
