I played Stadium and Snap as a kid while collecting the cards and watching the show, but I didn’t actually get a Gameboy until GS (and didn’t think to use Doduo Tower to play RBY). So Gold was the first mainline game I personally owned and didn’t just try out on a friend’s Gameboy. Cyndaquil was my pick, and I still have her on Stadium 2 after the battery death.
