I think it's underrated, and I hate gen 6.
I really enjoy that their idea for a poodle pokemon was to make a dog that actually looks like it can survive in the wild, and then giving the player the choice to make it stylish.
I probably like its default look the best in isolation, but if I actually got the chance to use one in a game I like I'd probably run La Reine or Kabuki depending on what the other pokemon on my team look like.
I would really like if pokemon started fucking around with giving the player aesthetic choices more.
I think it sorta fell to the wayside because it's a single stage normal type without much draw for mechanics-brained players. I feel like it'd be a common idea to give the forms stat differences but I'm completely opposed to that since the cool thing about furfrou is that its gimmick is purely an expressive choice. Really I just think it needed a better movepool for people to remember it more. Also fur coat is a really good ability but my dumbass wants the hidden ability moxie just because I think it fits a dog that wants to show off.
