I spent a good hour farming metapod and kakuna in viridian forest for Defense EVs in hopes i would get enough to get higher Def for a Hitmonchan fusion I want do to later in the game
Only then did it hit me that I'm playing a good game and can simply fuse it with a highly defensive pokemon until it evolves
