>>54284739Depends on which you are refering, when we tried to use the JP moemon sprites, the manager of JP romhacks for moemon Ebisova lashed out at the western project for using their sprites so we had to replace all of them. Due to that powertrip from the mod we were also forced to replace a bunch of already done sprites, they imposed some weird sprite ownership rule last hour and thus we had to spend a ton of time replacing sprites they didnt want in the game, out of good faith (this also set us back as we were to release 2.0 rather than 1.4 were it not for this).
So some sprites had to be replaced out of obligation. We decided to replace the 3 Kanto Megas specifically for being outdated, and to show off a fresh start. We also changed the backsprite standards a bit so a lot of the older sprites are smaller and show their age, we might go back to those once in a while like we did for Chandelure, though we dont want to waste a lot of time just remaking stuff we can already use either.
