I'm not sure if I want Megas to come back. I'd welcome them if the concept was done well, but right now it's wasted potential.
Let's make an example. Take Rapidash, add some fire wings to it, touch up the horn a little bit and change the eyes to be blue. Make it a Fire/Fairy type with Pixilate, add 35 to Attack, 20 to Speed, 10 to Special Defense, 20 to Defense and 15 to Special Attack. Mega Rapidash is now a Pokémon loved by little kids and strong enough to be viable, but not to the point of being game-breaking.
Sounds simple enough, anyone could do it, right? Well, Game Freak can't.
They just take the strongest motherfuckers around, add random spikes to them and make them even stronger, but ugly.
Right now I'd love megas for Rapidash, Lapras, Luxray and Golurk. At the same time, I do NOT want them, because I know that GF would screw themp up.
