Really, unusual sized Pokemon is what "Dynamax" should have been. Rather than making a Pokemon grow big in battle, imagine having to track down an unusually sized/large local legend, kinda like a crypto zoologist. "It was at least 50 -200 feet, largest snake I'd ever seen!"
Sorta like how the ashime had that giant Onix. Also works in reverse with small pygmy sizes.
