But seriously, there's going to be more moments like this because she's actually getting to know him. Serena met him once at summer camp a x amount of years ago, she doesn't really know this guy as much as she thinks. She would be kinda shallow to allow something this relatively trivial to completely turn Ash off to her when she knows the better sides to him.
And personally, I'm looking forward to the group getting to know each other better, thats what will keep things interesting.
