>>44106755ok. so reading about Fling… noticed it doesn't work with pokeballs. shame. there's a gap in the market for a gimmick mon who CAN fling pokeballs - in game you can use it as a conduit to catch other pokemon. maybe it's an ability that allows it to do this. evolution is triggered after it successfully catches a pokemon (or a number of pokemon). there could be evolutionary branches, or simple typing / aesthetic variants based on the specifc ball it uses (for the balltists) or alternatively the last type of pokemon caught (think burmy). lots of possibilities here and different options to explore but core concept is an ability allowing fling to work with pokeballs which function as normal (or perhaps with a perk like increased catch rate / friendship) on wild pokemon.
