>>49441819I dunno about them being experiments, but I like the idea of a duology of games that feature the unused concepts from gens 1 and 2, such as a much more fleshed out proto johto.
Could have it be meta and have the intro be your character in the normal games as we know them, and then they encounter a strange anomaly (basically missingno.) that phases them into another dimension feature all the unused stuff.
It's fanfic sure, but I like it.
