>>44914188Oh yeah, and I'd like to say there would be some cute flavor text or something that triggers when you fight the Gym Leader and one of your pokemon does something related to their friendship/affection score being really high. Like they survive a hit with 1 hit point thanks to their friendship value with you being so high. They'd complement you on truly caring for and loving your Pokemon, they feel honored to fight someone like that. Or something to that effect.
Extra side reward: You can always come back to the gym and have the ability to chat with some of your Pokemon by asking the Gym Leader's Pokemon to translate. You'll have questions you can ask them and some pregenerated responses based around type, friendship, affection, happiness, and the memory system.
>Example: You select your starter Pokemon and ask "What's been your favorite part of our adventure so far?">Starter Pokemon said: "Meeting you at <Starting Town Name>" >Then after beating the league>"Beating the Champion of the <Region> with you, my friend."Or something equally cheesy and cute.
