So, there was this girl I was in touch with online, and she lived on the other side of the country, but her mum and dad were abusive and/or negligent. I wasn’t even romantically interested in her since I just viewed her as, say, a little sister, and while our age difference wasn’t bigger than four years, she was still a minor. On times, for reasons I *do* understand, she became clingy and... incredibly lewd with me, which was concerning she was incredibly suicidal and already attempted twice.
I kept promising her that if she gets to be of age, I’ll guide her to escape and live with me, at least until she gets better and knows what she wants. I had to “go along” with her wishes to date me, but... this was just to make her feel slightly better in her already miserable life.
A few days before she turned 16, she told me that her mum broke her phone, and she kept crying her heart out because her parents keep trying to invade her privacy, because they’re “concerned” and some other bollocks that insane parents tend to claim. After I tried comforting her to the best of my ability, she said she’ll go to sleep, and said goodnight, and also “I love you”. I replied that I loved her back, but I don’t know if it was genuine or not, I was seeing other people then...
And that was the last thing she said to me. After it, her account was always offline and never replied back. I didn’t know what to do, and I can’t exactly remember what else I’ve done besides checking the chat from time to time and see if she replied. All I can theorize is that her mum confiscated all her belongings for good, because I read the news of her city for months, and there was no mention of a teen girl matching her name committing.... I don’t fucking know, it’s been two years now, I just hope she’s okay on her own.
