When you organize them by favorite of each type, you're automatically excluding any options within that type, which you may enjoy more, for no good reason. The main reasons it's likely this will happen, are both because the types are not evenly distributed, (sorry Mono-Water-Types,) and your favorites within that distribution are also not likely to be even.
Furthermore, Dual-Types are somehow controversial. Most in this thread have chosen to have each slot occupied be a novel species, which is fine, of course you do you, but almost certainly does not represent a true cross-section of your favorites. Parasect, Steelix, Medicham, Pidgey, these species to me are the pinnacle of both of their types, to the exclusion of others which are closer to the top of my list than Pokémon that did make the cut.
