To answer the one you proposed its because there are a number of people who would probably leave the project if we left 4chan.>>18888357I don't know if I'd go so far as to say we have to ban ANY productive chat. Sometimes you have some quick questions that need answering that isn't really going to make much of a difference whether its in a thread or in the Skype, or sometimes you have to coordinate with a specific person to make sure you're on the right page for surveys. I really want as much as the discussion possible here, but I think we do need some leeway for some situations.
