>>12886837Yeah to be honest, you're fine as long as you don't go out of your way to represent the stereotypes surrounding such a spergheavy franchise as pokemon. There's a difference between "nerd" and "fanboy" at the core. Nerd can actually be fashionable and endearing/distinguishing, but the latter can sometimes denote a serious need of other hobbies.
>>12886855You just gotta look harder man, find one that suits you. There's good shit out there.
>>12886935Caring about what people think about you is apart of growing up, but so is choosing WHICH people whose opinions you let affect you. In a world where credentials mean less and connections mean more, you damn fucking better well care what people think. That's a matter of professionalism and basic socialization. The point is never to feel "embarrassed" or "censored" by by the opinions of random jackwagons you'll come across on your days off.
>>12887009There are ACTUAL pokemon fursuits, and there are black t-shirts that have an Articuno silhouette and maybe a little "151" near the bottom back. Huge difference.
>>12887209>>12887247You gotta pick and choose who you associate with. In college I found that as a matter of personal character, not just concerning pokemon, those people who don't wear their hobbies/interests on their sleeves and shoulders 24/7 are generally the best people to have in your life in the first place. They tend to have more dimension and oftentimes smell better.
>>12887254Haha thanks. I actually got it years ago from a random Anon here in the early days of /vp/ who made a handful of them himself in his own house with a sewing machine, sold them on ebay. Extremely lucky to have stumbled across that thread, I have no idea if he's still making these now and didn't save his name or page.
