Rowlet3 achieves that in terms of proportions, color, and overall apperance. The hidden archer/assassin/ranger gimmick is a great way to demonstrate the Barn Owl's silent hunting style. The face being obscured and not too similar to a Barn is a small let down, but I'm happy overall.
The dark eyes of a Barn Owl work as cute ones on a baby, but a fully grown partner Pokemon is probably better from a marketing standpoint with eyes that can be "read" and express more. Barn Owls themselves can look terrifying or adorable based on lighting and circumstances. Love those guys.
