You need Baxcalibur set up in order for it to work, Hail Blade doesn't do any damage at all unless you discard... So you need to set up this weird loop of bringing the energy back to your hand or into your deck to search it out with Shivery Chill. It doesn't seem so bad at first until you realize how much effort you're going through all for additional 60 damage, and you need to discard six energy to ohko a Charizard.
