>>50245659I wanted to find out what was real, if any, and what was just a LARP, so I did a bit of investigation. People in those logs are still active to this day, and while they maintain the events there are real, none of them know for sure except through being told it was real. In fact, all battles in the league have to be monitored by Ame or another admin, to the point where some battles were completely private. In Jul 2014, Anna, one of the people in the arrest logs seems to be doing fine enough to continue dedicating three days a week to the league:

It should be pretty clear by now the chances of all of this stuff being real is slightly higher than the chances of BDSP ever being fixed, but I wanted to see who had firsthand accounts of the shit that happened and what was just hearsay. Another red flag was that since all battles were monitored by admins, no 'real' player ever had to exist. I don't want to go into detail how I dug it up at the end,
but the boring but also relieving answer is that it's all a LARP the oldfags of the site are into. They treat it like a kafaybe to feed the league and history of the site a 'mystique'. All that stuff about suicides and arrests were just people who got bored and moved on, and then they decided to cook up spicy drama for it. On Ame's tumblr, there are several references to her being tight-lipped until the game/ruse is finished.
