I've never even used a Venusaur as a starter and it's not my favorite card design, but out of the cards I actually owned as a kid this one was my most special. Somehow my dad bought the Japanese version somewhere individually and gave it to me as a gift. Felt like a real novelty since it was the first time I'd seen a Japanese card in person.
