In terms of my own personal husbandofeels I consider the Giovanni who starts Rainbow Rocket to be a different character. He's from an alternate universe and I honestly just didn't like that whole plot to begin with. He's cool as the most realistic evil team leader, I don't get why he *literally* had to try to take over the world with infinity war multiverse bullshit instead of just 'taking over' Kanto through power and dirty money. I concede that's a pretty genwunner take though
