>>29320860>but people don't give their marketing choices nearly enough credit. That's because they simply don't deserve credit. We have started walking this long road 20 years ago but for some reason we're moving sideways and backwards rather than straight forward the last few years and this year literally takes the cake considering absolute crushed expectations and disappointment.
Literally every gen thus far delivered some MASSIVE SHIT while it came along. Gen 1 started the hype, Gen 2 included two whole regions, Gen 3 gave us the Battlefrontier (one of the most missed implementations that gamefreak for some reason refuses to reintroduce), With gen 4 came the online gaming, gen 5 had a massive amount of new Pokemon and did its best with the postgame (tournament) and last but not least gen 6 introduced mega evolution. What did gen 7 deliver thus far? A whole lot of nothing if you ask me. Sure, I got hyped when I saw the alolan forms but what good are those, they merely tease what could have been a great concept if we would have gotten more of it. From what I see now Gen 7 lacks pretty much entirely an appealing individual new aspect and even refused to give us more of the things we liked about previous gens such as new mega evolutions. I'm curious to see how this will unfold further but this is actually the first time I won't preorder. I will wait until we know everything of this what I suspect to be a mess and then I'll decide if I continue shoving gf my money up their ass.
