They had FIVE fucking attempts to try and design "quadrupedal swordsman" in Gen V between Samurott and the Musketeers and failed miserably each and every time, only succeeding at the concept with Zacian in Gen VIII when they finally realized it made more sense for the Pokemon to carry its weapon in its mouth instead of using horns or having it shuffle on its back legs.
