all of my trainers have either a pokemon that will evolve by friendship or has evolved by friendship, mixed type.
The gym is three floors, and in order to advance you have to either defeat all the trainers on the floor or figure out which of the methods of increasing friendship you need to perform to open the elevator doors and move to the next level.
>first level is a roller rink
travel 128 steps
>second level is a health store/pharmacy
use a vitamin
>third level is a garden
use an EV lowering berry
I'm on the 4th level in a bad ass couch cushion fort with my three bros. If you beat me, I give you the Partner Badge, a soothe bell and Return. You can come back and visit once a day and have a fort building session with your pokemon to increase friendship similarly to a massage.
