>>22269315Returning to the battle, you wade over to Dedenne, who is bobbing in the water and seeing nothing but stars. You scoop him up in your hands and let out a sigh. In all fairness, he had a good run and was going to run out of steam sooner or later. He did much better than anticipated. Little guy gave Starmie a run for its money, weakened Clawitzer for Skrelp to finish off, and buttered up Barbaracle for whoever you choose to send out next.
That choice is obvious, "Thanks Dedenne. You did a lot, you're no liability here. You can rest now."
"Ne neeee......"
The ham-ham is returned to his pokeball, and you quickly make a grab for your next Pokemon. Siebold cocks an eyebrow, "Oh? Already prepared to send out your next Pokemon so soon? Am I correct in assuming that it's another one Barbaracle is weak to?"
Your eyes drift to the ceiling, "Meeeeehhhhh... You could say that. He's actually the result of a trade with twinkletoes behind me,"
You ignore the daggers being thrown into your back, "Here we go! Trevenant, YOU'RE UP! Show him how it feels to be on the wrong side of a Wood Hammer!"
"TREVAAAAAA!"
Size-wise, the next match up is much more fair for both sides. A wooden goliath, Trevenant splashes into the battlefield, roughly the same size as Barbaracle, give or take a few inches. Immediately, they shoot sparks of rivalry at each other.
"Baaaaarrrr..."
"Trevaaaann..."
You have a feeling this is going to be fun.
