Shiny hunting should be no easier than gen 4 methods. A single, complex and high-effort method like chaining and maybe masuda method. No shiny charm and no other buffs to the odds. I found 2 random encounter shinies in my playthrough of gold this year and they were absolutely breathtaking experiences every time.
