I've only used one in RBY, where he obviously hits really hard. How does he far in-game later on? I made a slot for him in a Pika Cup team as the physical bruiser with a functioning special stat and I don't think I ever picked him- but then with Starmie, Alakazam, Nidoqueen, and surfing Raichu for competition that isn't surprising.
