This guy right here. I started competitive battling in gen 3 before emerald was released. Skarmbliss was everywhere. Magneton was widely used to shit on Skarmory, and then Dugtrio was used to shit on Magneton. I needed something that could take an EQ and just annihilate Dugtrio.
That's when I discovered Trace Porybro2. Defensive little shit with above average special attack and could recover. After using him specifically for Dugtrio, I soon learned other ways Trace was useful, and that P2 took a lot of punishment otherwise. Ever since then I've always included it no matter what.
