I'm not going to lie, this was the best two Pokémon episodes ever.
Even the small things, like people actually realizing Meowth can speak, and Ash not needing a fucking Pokedex to identify Pokémon he's already seen, and even though the fight against Citron was mediocre, he still was using his brain while fighting this time.
Ash being a heroic bad ass brought a huge shit eating grin to my face, not to mention the animation quality has shot up. Citron seems like a total, almost equal bro to Ash and I can really see them being good friends. I also like Eureka a hell of a lot more than I thought I would considering I hate little sister types, she's quite likeable. Haven't seen Serena yet, but I have a feeling she'll be Dawn 2.0, aka 2nd best Pokegirl.
Compared to the shitty train wreck that was last season, even the first two episodes blow it out of the water. I PRAY, they continue with the Animation quality as well as Ash doing ballsy, heroic plays.
To say the least, 10/10 first two episodes, I'm fucking pumped.
All I can really say for certain with Ash's team at this point is Greninja, Talonflame and quite possibly Mega Charizard Y for his Mega.
