Most of the ideas here i lifted from a zombie apocalypse survival kit I drew plans for a while back.
Clothing is very simple. No frills. Colors are bland but easy to match. Pants are a thicker variant of cargo pants. Vest is worn under hardshell jacket. Facemask tube is used in desert climates / sandstorms and as a scarf, hat is for day to day use. Shoes are durable, rugged, but nimble, and the watch is built to last.
Backpack is large but not infinite in space. Most of the storage will be dedicated towards the MREs, Cooking tools, tent/bedroll, and medical supplies. Specific tent and sleeping bag are known for collapsing into a very small state. Backpack has two main compartments, med kit stuff in one (sans orange case), cooking/sleeping gear in the other (plus MREs).
MREs will work in a pinch but most days hunting/berry picking will be the source of nourishment. MREs are for emergencies only.
Most things will find a place in the pants or vest, including the radio, knife, multitool, phone, pokedex, shovel, etc. Storage space is at a premium, so keeping as many things outside the backpack as possible is a necessity.
Laptop is rugged and acts as a journal, information center, movie collection, and internet connection if paired to the phone.
Pokémon choice is varied to provide coverage against most Mons in the wild, and also for utility's sake.
Primary goal is survival and exploration. All things considered it might be more fun just exploring lumiose but being prepared is always the best option.
Basically the end goal is be ready for whatever shit the world is going to throw at me, because a place where 10 year olds command creatures wielding unimaginable power is going to be dangerous as shit.
