I simply said no matter how much they hint at Serena being in love with Ash she has a much higher chance of ending up with Trevor, Tierno, and Clemont than Ash.
Serena simply falling for someone else would be a shitty way to write it off, or simply giving it no conclusion at all....but status quo.
