>>57445648I don't know if I'd do all that, but I'd certainly be in a better state in that world than I am in this world. There's nothing fun to do in the modern world. Authoritarian governments dominate and monitor everything in range of normal society. Living in the middle of nowhere is probably a better experience than living anywhere else, but it requires too much experience and discipline for what it's offering. Achieving peak human physical capabilities is probably the best thing to do in life, but there isn't really much it gets you besides easier relationships and a longer lifespan, making me wonder why I would even want to live longer.
It's impossible to find any motivation for myself in a completely domesticated world. I'm not even allowed to train animals to fight, let alone the hundreds of other fun or fulfilling behaviors that are labeled as crimes. There are no worlds left to conquer unless I'm content with becoming an enemy of the state, and that just seems like too much to bother. The only reason I play video games anymore is because it's as close as I'll ever get to living according to my own principles and desires.
