Think about this for a second. Dawn was straight up dressed as a cheerleader, chanting and dancing for him, 17 episodes in. They must've barely known each other for a week back then. And still, it never felt wrong
I wish this scene was fully on youtube, but it's a good example of what I enjoy about seeing those two. I guess it's just comfy to seeing them together. And I don't even disagree with those who say they have "brother/sister energy", much like I don't disagree with those who ship them romantically. I just know they share a very strong bond, and it's heartwarming
