I began a HeartGold run in the last thread. I made it to Ecruteak and I'm getting ready to face the gym. But so far, I've lost Bright the Flaaffy, Rock Star the Geodude, Squeak the Rattata, and Tapir the Drowzee.
As I mentioned last thread, Bright got oneshot by a crit U-turn from Bugsy's Scyther on the very first turn of battle. Rock Star died from a trainer's Slowpoke in Goldenrod Tunnel. Squeak avenged him, but later, a wild Stantler put Squeak to sleep and killed him. And as you can see, Tapir died from a trainer's Slowpoke on Route 37, much like what happened to Rock Star.
On the other hand, Whitney was easy to beat. I used an X Attack and my Nidorina just spammed Double Kick.
Hope I can beat the game before all my Pokemon die.
