>>57784165I always viewed the mainline games as just separate from each other. RT, Explorers and Gates were just separate stories over different periods of time in different locations. I found it weird that people would try to link them together, but sometimes they were creative with it and had decent explanations, so I didn't really mind all that much.
Then Super came along and fucked that all up. Now every writer/comic artist/hack dev can just say "Well the characters from all the games are there in Super so humans showing up to save the world is a pretty normal thing apparently." Like fuck off, there was a reason people were always stunned to find out that there was a human in the pokemon world.
