Too bad it doesnt work that way, let's take the murder moon scenario once again. The survivor comes back to earth and people point fingers and calls him murderer. In fact, bunch of people will say this. In trial, he would be found innocent though, because the place that is the crime scene has no laws. That won't change the opinion of the rest of the people, who will still point fingers and call him a murderer. But that doesnt mean they arent in reality, wrong.
